Hello
Hi, my name is Chris Potts and I am the founder and operator of Blue Paint Media and Christopher Potts Real Estate Media in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I was born and raised in the Seattle, WA area but after 35 years it was time for a change. In June 2021 my wife, two kiddos, and myself picked up and moved to the great state of Texas!
My Story
What led me to start this crazy adventure in media? Well, after 13 years in aviation I came to the realization that my body wasn't going to hold up forever crawling around, working on airplanes. I began thinking of other careers that I might enjoy but struggled to find something that really drew me in. Then it finally dawned on me, I love working with media. I'm not talking about the news type of media but taking pictures of things that I find fascinating, trying to get that perfect angle and right lighting. I was taking both pictures and videos of my son's hockey team and editing the pictures to give to the parents and using the video footage to edit highlight reels.

So I began to taking class after class, getting training from training from the famous Jaison Sterling at Rock Town Media as well as renowned street photographer John Hendrick, trying to refine what I already knew and learn what I didn't know. I slowly added more equipment to my arsenal, shooting hockey game after hockey game and tons for family photo shoots for friends, it was finally time. Blue Paint Media was born. I am proud to say that I now work with individuals, families, companies and organizations, such as Axe Baseball Bats, MBC Aces Baseball, The Texas Tigers Hockey Club, the San Antonio Jr. Rampage Youth Hockey Association, Coast 2 Coast Player Development, and Operation Comfort.
Where does the name Blue Paint Media come from? Well, like I said up above, my son plays hockey and is actually a goalie. The area that a goalie is at on the ice is called "the crease" and is painted blue. I figured since his hockey career has been such a large focus in our lives, and in a bit of a weird way hockey helped rekindle my passion for media, it only seemed fitting that I somehow incorporate hockey into the name. Thus, the name Blue Paint Media was born.
